Soulja Boy Predicts the Future of Consuming Music

Soulja Boy, in a recent interview with the Wall Street Journal, predicted that social media and new technology will save the music industry.

His last album, The DeAndre Way,sold only 13,000 copies its first week, despite having close to 3 million followers on Twitter.  To date, sales of The DeAndre Way, are just under 100,000 copies.  Although, somehow his trash ass single “Pretty Boy Swag” has been certified platinum.

Soulja Boy told the Wall Street Journal:  “I think over the next five to ten years, artists are gonna resort to touring, of course, but I also think social media is gonna kick in to the next level. With the iPhone, the iPad and everything that’s coming out, there’s gonna be a new invention for the way people consume music.”

Son, what the fuck is you talking about?  Social media and technology is what destroyed album sales in the music industry.  You have 3 million Twitter followers and you sold 9 albums.  Shut the fuck up.  “Over the next five to ten years, artists are gonna resort to touring.”  They already are!  This is your prediction???

I don’t even know why I am writing about this other then the fact I get to slander this clown.  Soulja Boy is the anti-christ of Hip-Hop.  Jesus loves everyone except him.  He has the nerve to blame Interscope for his album sales, how bout you blame yourself and that mentally handicapped music you make.  How about you crank your bitch ass through a meat grinder and superman yourself into outer space and don’t come back.  Maybe that would save the music industry.

Do any of ya’ll have any logical predictions on the next innovative way to consume music?  Because, Soulja Boy obviously has no idea what he is talking about.
