Mystikal Is Going Back to Prison…Again.

Newly signed YMCMB recording artist Mystikal is going back behind bars for violating his probation with a domestic abuse charge he caught in February.  The New Orleans rapper checked into a Louisiana jail this morning to start serving an 81-day prison sentence.  He was released into 2010 after serving a six-year bid for sexual battery and extortion.

The former No Limit artist announced that he will be releasing his new mixtape “Origins” in July to hold his fans over while he does his time.  He will be launching his first single, “Bullshit”, from the mixtape later today via Twitter.

When asked about his 81-day prison sentence, Mystikal told Billboard:  “Everything I was doing, the 81 days was right there riding with me – in the SUV, come on, who’s that? My 81 days. Everywhere I went, it was keeping me in check, and it’s a fight. I can tell myself all kinds of things, I can sit there and mope, or I can get out and thank those fans the way I’m supposed to, the way they deserve to be thanked. So of course I am.”

Without being Captain Obvious, it’s pretty fair to say there is a trend here.  It seems to me he is pretty lucky to only be serving 81 days for smacking a bitch when he just got out of prison for sexual battery and extortion.  Is it just me, or is sexual battery and extortion an interesting combination?  “Not only am I going to fuck you lady, but I’m also going to take your money.”  You don’t see those two charges combined together that often.
